The Gaming Giant Hires Apex Legends Producer to Revitalize Challenged Hero Shooter Project Ethos
The renowned publisher has welcomed Ben Brinkman from the creators of Apex Legends to lead the studio crew at their internal studio, which is currently crafting the anticipated third-person action-packed title known as this innovative game.
Management Change Comes After Poor Reception
The new appointee steps into the role of studio head at the development studio following the exit of former leader the ex-Sledgehammer Games executive, who was removed from his post due to Project Ethos' disappointing unveiling last autumn.
Recently, 2K president a key figure informed employees about this strategic move through an internal memo, which emphasized that playtesting had revealed the need for a more defined direction.
The president noted that the developers is now overhauling the project with a refreshed vision, aiming to better meet community desires.
Trend of Strategic Hires
This announcement echoes a similar action taken by the publisher in August, when they hired an industry veteran from Blizzard to work on the BioShock development group.
